Over the last ten years, the Supreme Court has made landmark decisions around campaign finance, personhood, affirmative action, religious freedom and many more issues that pit the idea of "judicial activism" against "judicial restraint." Damon Root, senior editor at Reason magazine, examines the various forces at play in the highest court in the land in his new book Overruled: The Long War for Control of the U.S. Supreme  (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014).
