The blues guitarist Keb' Mo'– real name Kevin Moore – has won four Grammys and made a name for himself as not just a great musician but also a mentor to a whole new generation of aspiring blues musicians. Over the course of a long career, Keb' Mo' has also touched on rock, folk, jazz, and country music, and his list of collaborators runs from Jackson Browne to Kermit The Frog. When Martin Scorsese made his TV miniseries The Blues, Keb' Mo' was one of the people he turned to, and that’s where he recorded this version of Love In Vain. Blues guitarist Keb' Mo' plays Monday night, June 17, at Sony Hall.
