Khizr Khan On Losing His Son

Khizr Khan, the Muslim American Gold Star father who spoke at the 2016 DNC, joins us to discuss his new book An American Family: A Memoir of Hope and Sacrifice. He details growing up in Pakistan, working multiple jobs to put himself through Harvard Law School, and how he and his wife tragically lost their son, Army captain Humayun Khan, in Iraq in 2004.

Khizr Khan will appear in conversation with Mike Barnicle at the 92nd St. Y (1395 Lexington Ave., between 91st and 92nd street) on Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m.
