The group LADAMA consists of 4 women, one each from Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, and the States. Together they make a gleeful sort of pan-Latin music that ignores stylistic boundaries and geographic ones. They are also part of the big world music festival called OneBeat Marathon, taking place on Sunday, Nov. 15, along with musicians and storytellers from such exotic locales as Siberia, Indonesia, Iraq, and Brooklyn. The live-streamed event features multimedia performances by musicians from 14 countries over five continents from Accra, Beijing, Beirut, Berlin, Bogota, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, New York City, Sacramento, Seoul, Sulaymaniyah and more. Hear everything from electronic pop sets to microtonal accordion tunes to improvised experimental trios playing together across continents and timezones.
