Laraaji made an album with Brian Eno almost 40 years ago, Ambient 3: Day of Radiance. They seemed like an odd pairing, the white English producer and the Black American zither player, but they made some memorable music together. Laraaji is still going strong, as a zither player, a pianist, and a collaborator with musicians in the fields of rock, jazz, and ambient music. The new music organization Bang On A Can, together with BOMB Magazine and the Jewish Museum presents Laraaji playing live in his home studio in New York, and a conversation with musician and MoMA PS1 curator L’Rain at 7:30PM EST on Thursday, Feb. 4.
