Daniel Handler is the author four previous novels, including Adverbs and Why We Broke Up, but you might better recognize him as the “representative” for Lemony Snicket, that reclusive, elusive children’s book author responsible for A Series of Unfortunate Events and the All the Wrong Questions series. We Are Pirates is Handler's new novel for adults, but it shares Lemony Snicket’s dark aesthetic. The new novel is about a struggling radio producer whose daughter chases her dream of becoming an outlaw, heading for the open sea.
