Journalist Michael Frank joins us to discuss his latest story in The Atlantic, “Can America's Farms Survive the Threat of Deportations?” He is joined by Michael Hurwitz, director of GrowNYC's Greenmarket, and Zaid, one of the organic farmers who supplies food to the NYC Greenmarkets. Filmmaker Bertrand Tavernier joins us to discuss his film, “My Journey Through French Cinema.” The New Yorker staff writer Jennifer Gonnerman discusses her story "Neighborhood Watched." She reports from Little Pakistan, in Brooklyn, where thousands of Pakistani immigrants have settled in the past several decades. Joining her is Mohammad Razvi, founder of the Council of People’s Organization, a community group serving South Asian and Muslim immigrants.
