From San Francisco’s Mission District comes Los Mocosos, who, for 20 years have been gleefully mashing up Latin music, rock, funk, and ska into a party-ready dance music that celebrates American diversity and their own Latino culture. Their song “Tito Puente,” is a good example of their party vibe – and it's a tribute to the late great percussionist who was a hugely influential figure in Latin jazz. Los Mocosos were quiet for a long time, but they returned with a new album last year and on Saturday night, March 13, they play a live-streamed concert from the Downtown Theater in Fairfield, CA.
