Composers like Missy Mazzoli and Ellen Reid, who won this year’s Pulitzer Prize, are established serious music forces who lead by example. Together, Mazzoli and Reid have founded the Luna Labs, a composition workshop for young female and non-binary students. Wednesday night, May 8, Luna Lab presents works by five young female composers and three more established ones, at Merkin Hall.
