Like many jazz musicians, drummer Matt Wilson gets around. He’s played on dozens of records by some of the great old timers like Lee Konitz and the younger generation like Mary Halvorsen. But he’s also led a number of his own ensembles, perhaps none as keenly followed as his Christmas Tree-O.  Every December, Matt and his trio of sax, bass and drums get together to turn familiar seasonal melodies inside out and upside down.
