Miami's Coastline, and Population, Might Vanish

New Yorker Staff Writer Elizabeth Kolbert discusses her latest story for the magazine “The Siege of Miami,” about the flooding that could dramatically change Miami by the end of the century. Kolbert argues that while politicians in Miami Beach have spent up to a hundred million dollars to try and fix the city’s chronic flooding, sea levels are rising so quickly due to climate change that the region might eventually have to depopulate.
