A Mother and Her Son, Torn Between Two Countries

The Leonard Lopate Show | Feb 10, 2017

Sana Krasikov joins us to discuss her novel, The Patriots. In the wake of the Great Depression, Florence Fein leaves Brooklyn for a job, and love, in Moscow. She soon becomes entangled to Russia, a new home she can't seem to escape. Years later, her son, Julian, makes the opposite journey, immigrating back to America.

Sana Krasikov will be in conversation with Matthew Thomas at Greenlight Bookstore at 686 Fulton St. on Monday, February 13th at 7:30pm. For more information, click here.
