National Music League 10th anniversary. National Music Week.

David Randolph introduces the program and points out prominent audience members. awards ceremony. Robert E. Simon, Jr., president of Carnegie Hall and National Music League, speaks to the audience about the process of choosing winners for their first round of awards. WNYC was selected in the radio station category for music programming and exposure to new artists, American Music Festival. Plaque presented to Seymour Siegel. Siegel tells a story about Paul Porter, of the FCC; references other awards the station has received; "you must never underestimate the intelligence of the listener"; thanks Music Director Herman Newman. Metropolitan Auditions of the Air receives an award; George Sloan, of the Metropolitan Opera, accepts; Judge Martin (?) speaks. Serge Koussevitzky is honored and speaks.
