Secretary of the U.S. Army Eric Fanning joins us to discuss the state of the army, his role as secretary, modernization efforts, integration of women into combat roles, religious accommodations and how he communicates to soldiers in the field through social media. Fanning is the first openly gay man to serve in his position, and he’ll discuss his perspective on how the army is dealing with the social changes, the current political climate in Washington and future challenges.
