Nick Lowe at White Eagle Hall
July 24 | 8:00 PM | $47.10
English singer and songwriter Nick Lowe is best known for his hit songs from the 70s, like “Cruel To Be Kind” and “So It Goes,” and of course, “What’s So Funny ‘bout Peace Love and Understanding,” which Elvis Costello had a big hit with. As his Bandcamp page says, Lowe had a "short-lived career as a pop star, and a lengthy term as a musicians’ musician.” He’s had a notable career as a producer, and his recent album Indoor Safari is full of songs rooted in the sounds of rockabilly and early rock’n’roll. He and Los Straitjackets play on Friday night, on July 24, at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City.
