A Tortured New Orleans Politician Who Takes on BP

Austin Stark talks about the new movie he wrote and directed, “The Runner.” In the aftermath of the BP oil spill, an idealistic but imperfect New Orleans politician, played by Nicolas Cage, finds his plans of restoration unraveling as his own life becomes contaminated with corruption, scandal and deceit. The film opens at the Village East, on demand, and on iTunes on August 7.
