Now Batting for Donald Trump...

WNYC News | Mar 10, 2016

Donald Trump is now sporting a pretty decent lineup.

The Daily News reports former Yankee Johnny Damon has endorsed Trump, one a day after former slugger Paul O'Neill threw his support behind the Republican front-runner.

In an interview with the newspaper, Damon said he's been a Trump fan for years, calling his hotels, golf courses and other businesses "first class." He added that if Trump needs him, "I'll be there, he's a good friend."

When asked what he thought about Trump's plan to erect a border wall, Damon told the News he wasn't opposed to it but called it "tough to do."

"He's trying to make the country great. We're worrying too much about what's going on in Cuba, the Middle East. We have enough to worry about here," Damon said.

O'Neill's endorsement of Trump on Tuesday prompted a range of responses on social media.
