Oceanator via Oceanator.surf (Live Stream)
Jan. 14-15. $10. 7PM EST.

Oceanator is the name used by the Brooklyn-based singer and musician Elise Okusami, who is way too young to have been around when The Cure were in their pomp. But this song is full of synthesizery goodness of the sort that you’d have heard from on any number of New Wave bands in the early 80s – think Thomas Dolby, Human League, and yes, The Cure. It’s called “I Would Find You.” All this week she is doing a virtual online tour; Friday, Jan. 15’s bill also includes Bartees Strange, who’s worth checking out as well.
