Paco de Lucía Legacy Festival at Carnegie Hall

Paco de Lucía wasn’t just a master Spanish guitarist, he brought the sounds of flamenco to millions of listeners around the world. His legacy is being celebrated this week in a festival put on by Carnegie Hall. The opening event will feature flamenco singer Carmen Linares, Latin superstar Ruben Blades, and many others. But the highlight may well be the live performance of the piece, "Mediterranean Sunrise", by Al DiMeola, who recorded it with Paco and will be onstage to play it, as part of the opening concert in the Paco de Lucía Legacy Festival on Feb. 20 at Carnegie Hall.
