Palehound is an indie rock band led by Ellen Kempner. They’ve released three albums full of what Kempner has only half-jokingly described as “journal rock,” basically her diary set to music - catchy, sometimes whimsical, crunchy guitar-based music. Kempner has also begun working as half of the band Bachelor (with Jay Som’s Melina Duterte), who have just come out with a sugary post-punk wall-of-sound song, "Stay in the Car," and a full record set to come out at the end of May.
On Wed., March 31, Palehound offers a live set from the Chicken Shack (a recording studio in upstate NY) via a Bandcamp Live Stream.
