Paolo Sorrentino's 'The Hand Of God'

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Mar 7, 2022

Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino returned in 2021 with a new film, this time a semi-autobiographical exploration of coming-of-age in southern Italy. "The Hand of God" tells the story of a young teen in 1980's Naples as he finds his passions, struggles with immense loss, and learns how he was inadvertently saved from a freak accident by soccer legend Diego Maradona. Sorrentino joins us to talk about the deeply personal film, which has been nominated for Best International Feature Film at this year's Academy Awards.
