'What Happened' in 2016 With Hillary Clinton

The Brian Lehrer Show | Sep 12, 2017

As someone who covered Hillary Clinton's campaigns for president in 2008 and 2016, Amy Chozicknational political reporter for The New York Times, discusses the candidates new book, out Tuesday, called "What Happened." Chozick, who is working on her own journalistic memoir on the former Secretary of State, says, "she's been front and center for all these culture wars, back to when she said in 1992, 'I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies, but I decided to fulfill my career.' And so she's been at the center of all these storms and that has sort of been built up in the minds of people, that it's hard to say would some kind of unknown newer woman have experienced the same feelings or has she suffered for 30 years of sexist attacks that have made her that woman."
