Richard Ford returns to his protagonist Frank Bascombe, through which Ford has looked at the aspirations, sorrows, longings, achievements and failings of an American life at the end of the 20th century. His new collection of stories, Let Me Be Frank with You, is about Bascombe in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
