Since 2007, the English electronic music producer Ryan Lee West has been making records under the name Rival Consoles. He draws on both the arena-sized grooves of EDM – electronic dance music – and the more intimate sounds of ambient music without ever settling on one or the other. Rival Consoles is all about making the human side of electronic music production visible, or audible as the case may be. The British producer plays tonight at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.
