In 'Rolling Backouts,' Illustrated Stories of Life During War in the Middle East

Cartoonist and illustrator Sarah Glidden accompanied her two reporter friends who were travelling to the Middle East for research. In her book, Rolling Blackouts: Dispatches from Turkey, Syria and Iraq, she shares stories she heard as they traveled through the Middle East, from the Iranian blogger and the United Nations refugee administrator, to the Iraqis seeking refuge in Syria, and an American Marine.
