Roz Chast's Love Letter To NYC

The Leonard Lopate Show | Oct 13, 2017

Cartoonist Roz Chast was born and raised in Brooklyn, and struggled when she moved to the suburbs. But she did enjoy returning to the city with her children, who were dazzled by its streets, sidewalks and subways. This inspired her to create a guide ode and graphic memoir to New York titled Going Into Town: A Love Letter to New York.

Events: On Nov. 2, Roz Chast will be giving a presentation at 7:00 p.m. at The Darien Library (1441 Post Road, Darien, CT).

On Nov. 7, she'll be in conversation with David Remnick, answering questions and signing books at 7:30 p.m. at Books Are Magic (225 Smith Street, Brooklyn).

On Nov. 9, she'll be in conversation with Bob Mankoff, answering questions and signing books at the SUNY Albany New York State Writers Institute (UA Downtown Campus, Page Hall 135 Western Avenue, Albany, NY) at 8 p.m.

On Nov. 10, she'll be speaking, answering questions and signing books at 7:00 p.m. at the Ridgefield Library (472 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT), co-Sponsored by Books on the Common.
