The Leonard Lopate Show | Mar 27, 2017

Food writer David McAninch joins us to discuss his book Duck Season: Eating, Drinking, and Other Misadventures in Gascony--France's Last Best Place. McAninch spent time living in Gascony, a rural area in southwest France rarely visited by tourists. McAninch writes about participating in the region’s agricultural traditions from herding sheep to making the region’s signature duck dishes.

David McAninch will read from his book at The Albertine Bookstore (972 Fifth Ave. at 79th St.) at 7 p.m. on March 28. The reading will be followed by a reception.
