Hip hop has long thrived on beefs between rival rappers. So the RZA’s new album, called RZA vs Bobby Digital, seems like it might be more of the same. But since Bobby Digital is RZA’s alter ego, it’s all in good fun, and we’re all in on the joke. RZA is the de facto leader of the Wu Tang Clan, and kung fu movies have long been a part of the Wu Tang universe, so the whole album is built around samples from kung fu movie scores, produced by the veteran DJ Scratch. “Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater” by RZA and DJ Scratch, two hip hop legends together, is part of our Weekly Music Roundup.
