How Improv Comedy Took Over America

Sam Wasson joins us to discuss his book  Improv Nation: How We Made a Great American Art. Wasson charts the rise of improv comedy in America, and tells the stories of those who helped it take hold including Mike Nichols, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi and Gilda Radner. 

Sam Wasson will appear in conversation with Tom Santopietro on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Barnes & Noble/Upper East Side (150 East 86th Street at Lexington Ave.).

He will also appear on Dec. 6 at 6:00 p.m. at The Peoples Improv (123 East 24th St., between Park and Lexington Ave.) for a reading, talk and book signing.
