Like most percussion ensembles, Sandbox Percussion knows how to make a lot of noise. But they also know how to make percussion instruments sparkle, or sing, or just chill out. They also know how to play nicely with others, which is good because tonight Sandbox will premiere a new piano concerto by composer Christopher Cerrone with pianist Conor Hanick. They’ll also be playing other works, including music by Amy Beth Kirsten and this composer, David Crowell. The band Sandbox Percussion offers a livestreaming performance tonight from Caramoor, up in Katonah.
