Sanders Takes Western States, With Clinton Maintaining Her Delegate Lead

The Brian Lehrer Show | Mar 23, 2016

Results are in from last night's voting in Arizona, Utah and Idaho. Bernie Sanders took 2 of the 3 states by wide margins; but Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both won in Arizona, keeping them ahead of the pack on delegates.

Abby Phillip, National Political Reporter for the Washington Post, discusses the latest primary results from Arizona, Utah and Idaho in the race for party nominations in the 2016 presidential election.

Phillip also spoke about Trump's recent visit to The Washington Post's offices to meet with the editorial board. She found Trump's characterization of his foreign policy platform "interesting and "quite different."

"He expressed a foreign policy viewpoint that really represents pulling back U.S. engagement abroad and instead focusing on domestic problems...and that's really very unusual for a candidate in the Republican party."
