Send us your poems!

WNYC News | Mar 23

April is Poetry Month, and we are marking it on Morning Edition with a month of your poems on our air.

Our theme this year is "good neighbors." In this population-dense region, our relationships with our neighbors mean a lot. What is a good neighbor? What does it look like to BE a good neighbor? Send us your take, in the form of a poem. We might play it on the air, or share it in print on social media or in our newsletters.

You can email us your poem at yourvoice@wnyc.org. Please send us the text of your poem, as well as a voice memo. Record yourself on your phone, reading your poem somewhere quiet. Shorter poems are preferred, though we can also use excerpts if you need to go longer. Please make sure to say your name as well as your town or borough or neighborhood in the recording.

And come join us for a live in-person poetry event, in The Greene Space on Wednesday April 29 at 7pm! Tickets are pay-as-you-wish. Get yours here.

Looking for last year's poems? They can still be found here.
