Seu Jorge at The Blue Note, Wed. Aug 8 through Sunday, Aug. 12
Tickets: $55-$85. Sets at 8 pm and 10:30 pm.

The Brazilian singer and guitarist Seu Jorge (born Jorge Mário da Silva) became widely known after appearing in the Wes Anderson movie The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. In that film, Seu Jorge did intimate, Portuguese versions of classic David Bowie songs. Since then he’s collaborated with Beck, and Talib Kweli, and sung at the Olympics. He’s also continued to sprinkle his concerts with unusual choices of cover songs. Seu Jorge plays two sets tonight at the Blue Note.

Here’s his version of "The Model," a song by the German band Kraftwerk.
