Spencer. at Brooklyn Public Library Main Branch
Mon., Aug. 30, 7PM. Free.

Spencer. is a Brooklyn singer and occasional rapper; his upcoming album, called Are U Down?, is a friendly blend of soul, hip hop, and R&B that seems to have grown out of his pandemic experience. One song actually mentions quarantine, and themes of loneliness and connection are threaded through the album. Spencer. has a warm voice, and his single “Lonely As I Ever Was” features hip hop percussion, a funky guitar sample, and catchy harmony vocals. Spencer. plays a free show Monday evening, Aug. 30 on the steps of the Brooklyn Public Library at Grand Army Plaza.
