In the late 70s and early 80s, the UK band called Squeeze put out a series of hit songs. It was almost impossible to turn on the radio back then without hearing a Squeeze tune, like “Cool For Cats,” “Pulling Mussels from the Shell,” “Tempted,” and this one, “Take Me I’m Yours.”  Early on, Squeeze’s songwriters, Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, were being compared to Lennon & McCartney. This summer, they’re touring around with another hit-making duo of the time, namely Hall & Oates. Squeeze plays on Friday night, Aug. 13 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel NJ.
