Steven Bernstein’s Millennial Territory Orchestra @25 at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall
March 14. 9PM. $55-$65

Trumpeter and arranger Steven Bernstein has worked with everyone from A-list music stars to fledgling downtown bands. And for the past 25 years, he’s led his Millennial Territory Orchestra, his “little big band” as he calls it. Usually a 9-piece outfit, the orchestra plays Bernstein’s brilliant, often unexpected arrangements of songs that go back to the 1920s and include songs by The Beatles, Charles Mingus, and original songs. Steven Bernstein’s Millennial Territory Orchestra play a 25th anniversary concert at Carnegie’s Zankel Hall on March 14, with special guests guitarist Vernon Reid, singer Catherine Russell, and organist John Medeski.
