Striking Syria

President Obama offered very brief remarks on the beginning of air strikes in Syria, where the U.S. and allies bombed key ISIS targets in and around the stronghold city of Raqqa. He said "over 40 countries have signed up to help" train opposition forces to fight ISIS in Syria, to help cut off its revenue streams and "to counter its hateful ideology." Joan Walsh, editor at large of Salon, Buzzfeed Washington bureau chief John Stanton, and Vijay Prashad, professor of International Studies at Trinity College and columnist for Frontline discuss the beginning of our newest war.
