A Lifelong Struggle to Manage ADHD

Timothy Denevi was among the first generation of boys prescribed medication for hyperactivity in the 1980s, when he was six years old. Doctors recommended behavior therapy then antidepressants, but nothing worked. He describes growing up struggling with hyperactivity and attention-decific disorder, and how he finally realized he needed to come to grips with his disorder to get a handle on his life.
