Ben Watt Plays Live; The Linda Perry Project

Soundcheck | Jul 3, 2014

In this episode: Singer-songwriter Ben Watt spent much of the 1980s and ‘90s as one half of the duo Everything But The Girl. The other half was his long-time partner and wife, Tracey Thorn. He recently released his first album as a solo artist in 30 years, Hendra. Hear Watt and guitarist Bernard Butler perform in the Soundcheck studio.

Then: Many people remember Linda Perry as the frontwoman of the band 4 Non Blondes, and their massive 1993 hit “What’s Up?” But in the two decades since then, Perry has had a hugely successful career largely behind the scenes, as a producer and songwriter for artists including P!nk, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and many more. Now she’s got a new TV show – Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project.
