WNYC News | Dec 9, 2015

Police say an unarmed man has been shot and killed after a police pursuit and struggle that began in New York City and ended in Yonkers.

Authorities say Miguel Espinal of Queens was shot during the struggle and died at the scene. The chase started shortly before noon on Tuesday when two officers tried to stop a Nissan sedan in the Bronx.

The other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not said how the 25-year-old was injured or whether he will face any charges.

Representatives from the state and Westchester district attorney's offices were at the scene, according to a Westchester County spokesman. State authorities now investigate all killings involving police in New York.
