Taking on the Great Doodle Dare

For our latest Extra Credit challenge, The Great Studio 360 Doodle Dare, the cartoonist and winner of the MacArthur Fellowship (a.k.a. the “genius” grant) Alison Bechdel supplied the start of a drawing, and we’re asking you to finish it — any way you want, with any materials you want.

The deadline to submit your work is November 10 at 11:59pm ET.

This week, we called up a couple of artists to ask them about their submissions.

Bob Krohn – Prairie Village, Kansas
“When I looked at it my first thought was — especially because it’s World Series time — was that she was sliding into base.” (Our condolences go out to Bob and all the other KC fans.)

Kathleen – Prescott, Arizona

“My husband calls it a ‘noodle doodle,’” she says. Notice the tattoo on her arm? Kathleen explains that it’s “the first initial of her new grandson, Weston.”
