Tech News Update, The Political Will Hoge, A Feminist Sports Podcast

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Oct 1, 2018

Louise Matsakis, a staff writer at WIRED covering cybersecurity, internet law, and online culture, Issie Lapowsky, a senior writer for WIRED covering politics and national affairs, and Aarian Marshall, a transportation reporter for WIRED, give us an update on recent tech news. Their reporting includes Matsakis and Lapowsky's recently published article, “Everything We Know About Facebook’s Massive Security Breach” and Marshall's recent piece titled, “Elon Musk’s SEC Settlement Could Have Gone So Much Worse.”

Nashville’s Will Hoge joins us to discuss his politically-charged new album "My American Dream," which comes out October 5. In addition to writing and performing songs about the current state of our world, Hoge is also an activist, lending his time and resources to raise awareness and money for the issues he cares about, including gun control and anti-corruption initiatives.

Lindsay Gibbs, the sports reporter at ThinkProgress, and Jessica Luther, a freelance journalist, join us to discuss their podcast, Burn It All Down and the importance of infusing sports with a feminist perspective.
