'Textbook Ethnic Cleansing' of Burma's Rohingya Muslims

The Brian Lehrer Show | Sep 13, 2017

Matthew Smith, founder and CEO of Fortify Rights, discusses the humanitarian crisis mounting against Burma's Rohingya Muslims, now being referred to as "textbook ethnic cleansing" by top United Nations officials. The Rohingya are an ethnic minority, with numbers about 1 million in Myanmar. Their ethnic identity is denied by authorities in Myanmar, which has left them largely stateless, Smith explains.
