The Rosebuds: 'Sand And Silence' And Soul Searching

The Rosebuds are a North Carolina band that revolves around a creative duo -- Ivan Howard and Kelly Crisp. The two started the band a little over ten years ago -- and along the way, got married. Their 2011 album, Loud Planes Fly Low, chronicled the end of that marriage -- a breakup which, surprisingly, didn't break up the band. Since then, the two have continued making music together -- recording an album of Sade covers, and even a Christmas album.

Now the Rosebuds are back with another full-length album of originals, called Sand + Silence -- produced by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon at his April Base Studio in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Howard and Crisp join us on Soundcheck with a full band to play songs from their new album.
