Film Portrays Yearlong Investigation of Catholic Church By 'The Boston Globe'

In 2001, a Boston Globe team of reporters known as "Spotlight" began a year-long investigation into abuse allegations in the Catholic Church. Tom McCarthy directed and co-wrote the acclaimed film "Spotlight" based on how the investigation was conducted, what it turned up, and its ramifications.
