Trayvon Martin's Legacy

The Leonard Lopate Show | Jan 30, 2017

Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, the parents of Trayvon Martin, join us to discuss their book, Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin. His parents share their experiences through alternating narratives -- reflecting on the child they lost, the responses of police and the hostility of the legal system, and detail the ways they’ve worked to move forward and bring meaning to their son’s tragic death.

Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin will celebrate the launch of their book at Barnes & Noble Union Square at 33 E. 17th St. on Tuesday, January 31 from 7:00–8:30pm. For more information, click here.

Sybrina & Tracy will be in conversation with Reverend Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, in addition to answering a Q&A and signing books on Wednesday, February 1st from 5:30-8:30pm at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church at 204 W 134th Street. For more information, click here.
