A Treacherous Journey Through The Ottoman Empire

Naji Abu Nowar discusses the film he wrote and directed, “Theeb.” In 1916, while war rages in the Ottoman Empire, Hussein raises his younger brother Theeb in a traditional Bedouin community. The brothers' quiet existence is suddenly interrupted when a British Army officer and his guide ask Hussein to escort them on a treacherous journey. The film opens November 6 at the Lincoln Plaza Cinemas and at Cinema Arts Center in Huntington on November 20.
