Should Soda Have a Warning Label?
The Brian Lehrer Show | Nov 17, 2014
A new proposal from Assembly Member Karim Camara (D-43), representing parts of Crown Heights, Lefferts Gardens, and East Flatbush, would require a warning label on sugary drinks to let consumers know the product is dangerous to their health. It would read: "SAFETY WARNING: DRINKING BEVERAGES WITH ADDED SUGAR CONTRIBUTES TO OBESITY, DIABETES AND TOOTH DECAY." He discusses the bill's background and prospects, and takes your calls on whether you support the label or not: 212-433-9692.
