This Week In Politics: Kathy Hochul holds on, but GOP wins big on Long Island

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was able to defeat Republican Lee Zeldin on Tuesday to become the first woman elected governor in state history. 

But Zeldin significantly outperformed Hochul on Long Island, winning his home county of Suffolk by 17 points. And it helped the GOP win all four of Long Island's congressional districts, which could help the party take control of the House of Representatives.

WNYC's Albany reporter Jon Campbell joined Weekend Edition host David Furst to discuss the week in politics.
