'That Kind of Mother,' a Tale of Parenthood & Privilege

Rumaan Alam discusses his novel That Kind of Mother. It tells the story of a first-time mother named Rebecca Stone who struggles with the demands of motherhood and her own aspirations. She befriends a woman who becomes her son's nanny, but soon finds herself raising two children.

Rumaan Alam will be in conversation with Emma Straub on May 9 at Books Are Magic at 7:30 pm.
